Solway Aviation Museum  18th February 2013   Dave Rose

As I was passing Carlisle Airport I thought I would catch up on the inmates of this museum. Its located at the entrance to the airport and the exhibits are very well presented on grass. The Vulcan is parked about 100 yards away on its own. It is open on week-ends but access is easy during closed hours, and photos can be easily had.

There are some other exhibits inside the main museum building, such as engines etc, and the cockpit section of Nimrod AEW3 XV259 is being refurbished.
