A quick dash down South Thursday 4th November 2010 - Ade Hairsine
Hi All
A little late posting this one due to work etc etc, We decided we had better get
our selves down to Kemble before an ex military Dash-8 in the scrap yard there
was totally gone so an early morning departure from York a week last Thursday
saw us call at EMA as per usual on the way South

Moving on down the road and in no real rush i decided to call in at a place in
Birmingham that i have driven past a few times but not had the chance to get to
till now

A modern museum with the two aircraft we wanted hanging from the roof inside,
They are easy to see with the security lights 24/7 i would think

Back on route we called in to "Little Riss" to try to get access to the Devonair
hangar to view the ex military Doves in there, We were made very welcome and
after signing in the visitors book we had a good look round. There are two
hangars used here for GA and we got the wrong one and the other was closed so
the Dove's are for next time,Here is the notes we made and it includes 30 Auto
Gyro's if these float you boat this is the place to be

A little bit of a long shot the glider hangar would be open in the high wind of
the day and we were correct it was all locked up, Moving on to RAF Colerne a
place i don't have a lot of luck with i always come here when they are not
flying BUT today I WASlucky, Nothing in the air but two out side
