Day 5 Sunday 3rd February 2008 - Superbowl day

Yes, you guessed it an early rise and Denny's for breakfast, we headed for Scottsdale, arriving at 0745am, before the golf crowds would be descending on the area, they were expecting 180,000 visitors! after logging a large number of biz again, us and another car we pulled by the police, he new what we were doing but due to heightened security for the golf, they didn't want us around, luckily we had everything and headed of to Sky Harbour.

Back at Sky Harbour at 0845am, bumping into our Dutch friends we met earlier at the biz area a quick look around and off back to Car Park 3 for the morning, it was our intention to stay until around kick off then do another tour of the fields while everything was parked up. Staying until 1330pm we left for Deer Valley 30 minutes up the road.

Nicely filling up we managed to photograph the last few arrivals for the viewing terrace before the game began, next stop was Glendale, where the game was about to kick off just over the road.

This place had certainly filled up, arriving at 1510pm, we were greeted by a nice Brazillian Soverign and a few nicely painted Gulfstreams, we headed for the fence to take some shots when an old guy came up and said if you go in the FBO terminal you can go to the front door and take some pictures, so in we went, it was full of police ATF, FBI, etc etc all watching the game we headed to the door where a couple of policemen were talking, no problem just stay behind the white line and take your pictures, turned out he had spent some time at Lakenheath. The Blue Angels flew over as we were driving along, anyone know which ones they were? Also any idea's on a USAF PC-12 flying cap over the stadium, we think it may have recovered to Williams-Gateway but it wasn't there when we were there.

An hour later back down to Goodyear a drive down Yuma Road, revealed a packed ramp, all logged and off to the hotel via Williams Gateway, not a busy place but always worth a call.

The two Mexican's were a nice surprise, though not good enough to get a good photo sadly.

About a mile along the road from our hotel was Stellar Air Park, with a little light left we had to call in for a look, its one of these house/hangar communities it had a ramp with a number of light aircraft in it, these were wearily put in the book, a beer and food was needed...
