Teesside International Photos 1991

Photos taken at Teesside International Airport between 1st January - 31st December 1991. Click on a thumbnail for the full size photo. 17 Feb 91 G-BBAI Lockheed L-1011-1 TriStar Caledonian Airways Delivered to British Airways in Oct 74, it was leased to British Airtours on 21 Apr 85 until it was transferred to Caledonian Apr 88, following a few sub leases to Worldways as C-FCXJ it now had another spell with Caledonian from April 90 it was retired and scrapped at Abu Dhabi in Sep 04. It was visiting Teesside on 17 Feb 91 operating a trooping charter to Cairo.	31 Mar 91 G-BCDN Fokker F-27-200 Friendship Air UK It was WFU in 1998 and currently an instructional airframe with the KLM college at Norwich.	31 Mar 91 PH-BUE Boeing 747-206B KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Delivered in Sep 71 and remained with KLM until Dec 92 when it was sold as F-GLNA it was withdrawn in October 2002 and scrapped at Paris Orly, France in March 2003. Pictured here in Garuda tail markings it made two visits in 1991 on MOD charters, the first during the small hours of 30 March and the second in the early afternoon of 31 March. Both flights were inbound from Athens. 25 Oct 91 CS-TMD Boeing 737-2K5 Air Sul Leased from Hapag Lloyd it returned to D-AHLG in 1992 before spending time with a number of airlines as F-GMJD it has now ended up with Trigana Air Services as PK-YRT. This aircraft arrived around lunchtime as SUL581/2 on 25th October 1991 on a charter from/to Faro.	1991 G-BMSR Grumman G-159 Gulfstream I North East Express (Aberdeen Airways) Flew a London Gatwick service between 20 May 91 and 30 Aug 91, this aircraft was damaged by fire & written off at Lyon in 1994.	1991 G-BMSR Grumman G-159 Gulfstream I North East Express (Aberdeen Airways) Flew a London Gatwick service between 20 May 91 and 30 Aug 91, this aircraft was damaged by fire & written off at Lyon in 1994.	1991? 1991 G-IBTZ Boeing 727-2U4 GB Airways Started life as G-OSLA with Britannia in May 81, it became G-IBTZ on Dec 88 and remained subleased to them until May 92, it was last with Merpati as PK-MBJ and is now stored engineless at Surabya, Indonesia. It visited on 26 Jan 91 and 02 Feb 91 on Salzburg ski charters as GBL995/4.	1991? VR-BLP British Aerospace 125-800A Now based Oklahoma as N218PJ N16CP Dassault Falcon 50 Now based in Tennessee as N50HN.
