Noted at the 1967 Air Pageant when this shot was likely taken. Sold in Australia as VH-UXZ and is currently on rebuild.

Bristol 175 Britannia 312 Donaldson International Airways

First flown in Nov 57 with BOAC then leased to British Eagle in May 64 it joined Donaldson in May 69 only until 16 Dec 70 when it was WFU, it spent some years on the fire dump at Stansted before being destroyed. It visited three times including a night stop on 25 Sep 69. First inbound was from LGW, last departure to Newcastle.

Probably taking part in one of the annual air races, it was noted at both the 1965 and 1968 events. It still lives on based at a private strip in the Highlands.

BKS Air Transport

Delivered to BKS 05 March 69, it transferred to Northeast Airlines for a period of time before taking up BEA scheme when it was written off at Bilbao on 15 September 1975. G-AVYD was a frequent visitor with both BKS and Northeast but is believed to have made its first visit with BKS on 18 April 1969 with a familiarisation flight f/t NCL. It made at least another 7 flights through Teesside that year including ITs f/t Palma, a pattern continued throughout 1970.
