Day 5 came and
we were at Perov today but the hotel we had stayed in was some 40 miles from
here so and early start meant we could get a MiG-15 in on the way in

It was time to country hop again so heading North we called at two more Czech
locations before getting back into Poland

the air at the side of the road East of the town

A few months ago i saw an e-mail about a MiG-21 at a place called Ustrom (And
there are a few of them Poland) and after a little digging around i found the
Ustrom it was at was in the area we would be in so more research was carried out
and i came up with

Wow what a visit i could not have gone better out heart felt thanks to the
people who took the time to show us round. The four guys who had flown in from
the UK on Monday departed towards Prague for an evening flight home while we continued on to Brno for yet another pre arranged look at another

A drive up to Prague for a hotel filled in the rest of the evening apart from
the local pub we had a meal in was fantastic every body was very friendly and we
felt almost at home
Prague is an area of the country we had not done before
and with the Kbely museum it was long over due for a good looking at, A late
departure from our Prague hotel (By our standards anyway) at 08-00 saw us stuck
in a traffic jam but every cloud has a Silver lining and poled off OTT of the
road was

We started with the active part of the airfield where a lot of the Czech AF
transport aircraft are based, Stored on the eastern end of the field are the two
Tu-154,s which are both up for sale if you want to put your hand in your pocket

half hours to get an ex Czech AF Mi-24 that was just over the border in Germany

The day started with a little Rain (First time this week) but 10 miles an ex

you have no choice but to just drive all the rest of the day to get to where you
need to be which put near Ramstien for a morning look at things. Making better
time than we thought we made Ramstein in daylight so went for a look

came and we were greeted with mist at Ramstein so we left for Spangdalam which
is more or less on the way home
