Comments: I argee with you tosh, passanger figures ae surely going to go down because of this fee also the reason why not many airlines operate. I hae also herd rummors that Ryanair many come back if the airport gets rid of the passanger faciity fee.

Comments: I really don't think the £6 passenger tax has that much effect. It's more likely to be the massive difference in ticket prices charged by KLM when comparing flights from Teesside and Newcastle. Just this week my sister priced a journey to Bergen in May for two people. Teesside, her airport of choice comes out £136 more expensive than Newcastle. Although she would have willingly paid the extra £12 to fly from her "local" airport Newcastle gets the business. It's a no brainer !!.

Comments: I used to work at Teesside Airport (although i wouldnt be there now if i hadn`t resigned)and i enjoyed myself whilst working there. i was in a good position for taking aircraft photographs! I like flying from Teesside. its a nice quiet "local" airport but i think the £6 levy is hindering passenger numbers. More should be done to get holiday flights up and running to more destinations.

Comments: What a great airport Teesside was, for so many years. We used it extensively for holidays, business and personally for Kilroe flights to Manchesterwhere ICI had its own terminal.
I used Doncaster airport for a holiday for the first time this week and it was worse than Teesside for air traffic. It seems that only Thomson Holidays use it now and it was totally lifeless with our flight the only one leaving. We went into the newsagents at 07:30 am and they'd sold out of all newspapers as they, "Weren't expecting so many people".
Could Teesside airport return to its former glory? I would sincerely hope so, but doubt it.

Comments: Hi I love the website and the news it gives me about the airport.I like the airport not because its local that i beleive it has potential, I just wish the Peel would acctually do somthing with it and get more airlines operating out of there such as Jet2 and British airways.

Comments: Hi from a former updater and ATC at EGNV. Spent an enjoyable 6 years at the airport but sadly saw passenger numbers and movements decline before moving to Doha, Qatar to control in Jan 2011. Best of luck for the forthcoming airshow, I hope I can attend and see some familar faces.
