Just got back
last night from yet another trip out with the boys this time a seven day bash
across Eastern Germany and Poland. We had asked the Polish AF if we could be
included on the Press Tours they were running this year and were accepted on
the October tour so plans were made to drive out to Poland do the Base Press
Tours and some "Wrecks and Relics" en-route, Having nothing back from the
Polish AF HQ until a week before we were due to depart we rang the AF HQ in
Warsaw and they told us they had lost our details and could not get us on the
tours because it takes a week to ten days to run out detail thought their
security channels. Not a good start to things as all three of us have booked
time off work and were ready to go, An alternative plan was made to go anyway
and do a few active bases and a lot of Wreck and Relics and generally just
have a week out spotting etc. The name for the trip will come out later in the
log, Our trip started last Sunday morning at 06-00 when we picked Andy and
my self up in York and we departed South, The first aircraft we saw was from
the A1 at Doncaster
