Similar to a few others this year, we took advantage of Ryanairs cheap fares ( 1p plus tax!!) and the ability to have a full day at Dublin by using the two flights from Newcastle. We  arrived at Newcastle with time to spare which allowed us to have some breakfast and log the night stoppers prior to boarding EI-DPE for the short flight to Dublin.

We hired a car and toured the Airport perimeter to the north of the runway to check out the Biz and SR Technics maintenance visitors which proved very worthwile as a "BIZ" A340-600 VP-CCC was parked along with Gulf Air 767 A9C-GZ. We continued to the southern "Spotting points" and chose the area next to the unused long stay car park, this has "mounds" for shots over the fence on roll out and rotation. An excellent spot. Another spot is located near the threshold of runway 28 but the perimeter fence is high and can get in the way of your shots.
