Sycamore Aviation

Sycamore Aviation, an aircraft recycling company, set up base at Durham Tees Valley in June 2011, they part out and then recycle the remaining airframes. Initial work is carried out on stands 7-9 before moving the aircraft into Hangar 1 to be broken up (their first aircraft, N249AN, was completed landside in the now demolished Hangar 4). Sycamore were taken over by Glyn Wall Ltd in 2014 and now share Hangar 1 with a number of private owners, two flying schools and a private charter firm now located in there. Aircraft will continue to be parted out inside the hangar, but may be scrapped on the south side pans in the future.
