Flying was only possible on two days ( 7th and 8th ) due to weather
Vickers Viscount 708 G-ARIR Alidair Scotland, flew with then in the late 70's, it became 9Q-CAH in 1984 and scrapped at Ostend in 1988.
Handley Page Herald G-APWD Autair International, first delivered in 1961 it was sold in Columbia as HK-721 in November 1970 and crashed in that country in 1972. It is known to have visited a number of times in 1969 being the first movement of the year on 1 January 69 to and from LHR. It also appeared on a number of Leconfield diversions during that year.
Douglas DC-8-63 EC-ASN Aviaco. It first started life with Iberia in 1962, it remained as EC-ASN until August 1982, it's last reg was OB-R1259 when it was broken up in Lima 1991. It made a total nine visits with AO1054/55 from and to Palma in 1981. It was logged by Aidan Williamson on 10/7/81
BAC-1-11 414 HZ-AMH This aircraft had a number of operators in it's life it was with this one between Dec 78 and Oct 82, it last operated with Libyan airlines and is currently stored at Tripoli. The 1-11 carried out training details here 23 April 80, 24 April 80, 7 January 81 and 3 January 82.
HS-125-1000A HZ-OFC2 c/n 9008, it was with this owner between 92 and 94, it is now N207TT which it was when I saw it at west Palm Beach in Feb 2007. It made three visits to Teesside, 25 and 27 February 92 and 31 May 93
Boeing 727 CB-01 Belgian Air Force, operating with the BAF between Jan 76 and Oct 98 it was sold as N70PA and is now D2-EVG with Sonair in Angola. It first visited on 16 April 92 making two trips from and to Melsbroek as AFB 652A and 652B. Its next visit, also in 92, was on 24 May as part of the big NATO exercise that year. It operated Ostend - Melsbroek as ALF 1023
BAC 1-11 D-ANUE Bavarian, flew as this between March 72 and October 81 when British Caledonian bought it as G-BJRU till 93, when it was sold to Tarom and was scrapped as YR-JBB at Bucharest in July 2006. It operated BV 702/3 from and to Munich 14 May 1972 followed by visits on 25 June 72 23 July 72 and 3 Sep 72. Other a/c used on this fortnightly Sunday charter include D-ALFA and D-AMUC.
Bristol Britannia G-ANCF Invicta International Airlines, flew as this between March 64 and Jan 76, it became 5Y-AZP, it reverted to "G-ANCF" when it was preserved at Kemble, it is now on loan to the Wirral Aviation Society and resides at the Liverpool Airport old site. It called twice in September 1979 - on the 6th outbound from Manston to Zurich and on the 18th inbound from Zurich to Manston , both in the late afternoon .To my knowledge its only other visit to Teesside was 10 years earlier on a training detail 5 January 1969 as a Monarch aircraft
